Pakistan Women beat Thailand Women by 35 runs in Dubai on 1 September 2026. Muneeba Ali’s 54 carried Pakistan to 119/9 after a difficult start, then Sadia Iqbal took 3/11 as Thailand finished on 84/8.
The scoreline hides some resistance from Thailand. Its spinners reduced Pakistan to 7/2 and later removed Muneeba, but Thailand could not score quickly enough against Pakistan’s spin attack.
The permanent women’s cricket hub groups current team schedules, tournament pages and verified viewing guides without mixing them into men’s fixture totals.

How Pakistan Women vs Thailand Women was shown in Pakistan
- TV: PTV Sports
- Official live stream: Tamasha
- Live scores: Asian Cricket Council match centre
PCB names PTV Sports and Tamasha for the tournament in Pakistan. The rights notice does not say that every PTV web player or third-party app may retransmit the channel, so use the named television service or Tamasha rather than an unofficial stream carrying a PTV logo.
USA and Canada live-stream options
| Country | TV or service | Official digital option | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pakistan | PTV Sports | Tamasha | 28 August 2026 |
| United States | Willow by Cricbuzz | TrillerTV’s match page with a Willow subscription | 28 August 2026 |
| Canada | Willow by Cricbuzz | TrillerTV’s match page with a Willow subscription | 28 August 2026 |
TrillerTV has a dedicated event page for Match 5 and labels the publisher Willow by Cricbuzz. Its listing shows 10:30 a.m. Eastern time, consistent with the confirmed 6:30 p.m. start in Dubai.
No reliable match-specific rights listing was available for India, the United Kingdom, Australia or other territories when this guide was checked. We will add a country only after a rights holder or broadcaster confirms it. A long broadcaster table copied from a different ICC event would be more misleading than useful.
Pakistan vs Thailand match report
Pakistan lost Shawaal Zulfiqar and Gull Feroza in Thipatcha Putthawong’s first over, then slipped to 7/2. Muneeba Ali steadied the innings with 54, while Sadaf Shamas made 20. Putthawong finished with 3/18 and Suleeporn Laomi took 3/14 as Pakistan closed on 119/9.
Sadia Iqbal then removed Phannita Maya and Nannapat Koncharoenkai in a double-wicket maiden. Thailand never found the required tempo: Chanida Sutthiruang made 25 from 24 balls, but Sadia’s 3/11, Tuba Hassan’s two wickets and Nashra Sundhu’s economical 1/6 kept the chase to 84/8.
Official Pakistan and Thailand squads
These are the official 15-player tournament squads, not predicted playing elevens. The confirmed XIs will replace this note after the toss.
Pakistan: Fatima Sana (captain), Ayesha Zafar, Eman Naseer, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Momina Riasat, Muneeba Ali Siddiqui (wicketkeeper), Sadaf Shamas, Nashra Sundhu, Sadia Iqbal, Saira Jabeen, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Tuba Hassan, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar.
Thailand: Naruemol Chaiwai (captain), Nannapat Koncharoenkai, Natthakan Chantham, Chanida Sutthiruang, Suleeporn Laomi, Onnicha Kamchomphu, Thipatcha Putthawong, Phannita Maya, Aphisara Suwanchonrathi, Sunida Chaturongrattana, Chayanisa Phengpaen, Nannaphat Chaihan, Koranit Suwanchonrathi, Thanrada Seesawan and Naomi Hamilton.
Pakistan originally selected Najiha Alvi, but Sadaf Shamas replaced her after a knee injury. The list above reflects that official change rather than the first squad announcement.
Pakistan Women vs Thailand Women head-to-head
The teams have now met four times in senior Women’s T20 Internationals: Pakistan has two wins, Thailand one, with one no-result.
| Date | Competition | Result | What happened |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 June 2018 | Women’s T20 Asia Cup | Pakistan won by 8 wickets | Thailand made 67/8; Pakistan reached the target in 13.1 overs |
| 3 March 2020 | Women’s T20 World Cup | No result | Thailand posted 150/3, but rain prevented Pakistan’s chase |
| 6 October 2022 | Women’s T20 Asia Cup | Thailand won by 4 wickets | Thailand chased 117 in 19.5 overs, led by Natthakan Chantham’s 61 |
| 1 September 2026 | Women’s T20 Asia Cup | Pakistan won by 35 runs | Pakistan made 119/9 and held Thailand to 84/8 |
The 2022 result explains why Thailand cannot be treated as an automatic two points. The 2020 game is equally relevant: Thailand’s 150/3 was a complete innings, but it remains a no-result because Pakistan never began the chase.
A 2025 meeting in the Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier was a 50-over match. It is excluded from this T20I record rather than mixing formats to make the sample look larger.
What the result meant in Group A
The win gave Pakistan a positive start before its 5 September meeting with India. Thailand had already been beaten by India in Match 3, and this second defeat left it with ground to recover in Group A.
The full Women’s Asia Cup schedule keeps the confirmed group fixtures and conditional knockout dates together. The permanent Pakistan Women schedule and Thailand Women schedule will move this match into recent results after the organiser confirms the outcome.
Is the original live stream still available?
This page preserves the legal services that carried the match live, but replay access depends on each platform’s current archive and subscription rules. Check Tamasha in Pakistan or the original Willow listing in North America; do not use an unauthorised mirror.
Can I watch Pakistan Women vs Thailand Women for free?
PTV Sports is the confirmed television broadcaster in Pakistan, while Tamasha is the official stream. Whether either option is free for your particular package or connection depends on its current access terms; do not assume an unofficial mirror is legal because it shows the same channel feed.
What time does Pakistan vs Thailand start?
The match starts at 7:30 p.m. PKT, which is 6:30 p.m. in Dubai, 8:00 p.m. in India and 2:30 p.m. UTC. The organiser has not published a separate toss time.
Who won Pakistan Women vs Thailand Women in 2026?
Pakistan won by 35 runs. Muneeba Ali made 54 in Pakistan’s 119/9, and Sadia Iqbal took 3/11 as Thailand finished on 84/8.
